mother's day gift idea

I probably should have thought to write this post last week so there would have been plenty of time for shipping, but I've been a little preoccupied with, well, this:

Remembering this happy day with hand prints in the garage :)

Eight months later, we've finally closed on our new home and can't wait to move in on Friday!  But more on that later.  Today we need to quickly talk Mother's Day before it's too late.

A few months ago, I was perusing Instagram on my phone when I came across a photo of a beautiful necklace by Lisa Leonard Designs.  I quickly clicked over to @lisaleonard to follow her account and then looked through all the beautiful photos she's posted of her hand-stamped jewelry designs.  I love so many of her necklaces and rings (she also has lovely bracelets and earrings), which is really saying something because I pretty much only wear four pieces of jewelry:  my engagement ring, my wedding band, a very thin gold ring, and a very thin gold chain that belonged to my great-grandmother.  And that's it.  But I love so many of Lisa Leonard's designs and thought you might like to check them out if you're still looking for a gift for Mother's Day (or a birthday or other upcoming special occasion).  Here are a few of my favorites:

Tiny Twig Necklace

Sweet Pea Necklace

Mama Necklace

Family Tree Necklace

My Heart Ring

And my favorite, that I have my eye on for myself for Mother's Day (hint hint, husband)...

Tiny Cross Necklace
I hope you'll check out Lisa Leonard Designs and also read a little bit about her on her blog.  You can customize her jewelry in so many different ways to make the perfect gift for someone special.

Hope you have a lovely start to your week today, friends!

  1. I love those gift ideas. I also think giving jewelry is a nice gift for moms this Mother’s day in order to show them how precious they are in our lives. They’ve given almost everything for us, that I think it is only rightful for us to give back. :)
