a few weeks ago, at the millworks

A few weekends ago, on the first night in September that felt like fall, Robert and I met up with Brig, Mary & Brian at The Millworks in Harrisburg. If you haven't heard of it, The Millworks is a bar/restaurant/gallery space that showcases Central Pennsylvania's local agriculture & artistic talent, all in one pretty cool spot. Since I'm a fan of both delicious food & art, it's safe to say I'll be coming back here on a semi-regular basis. A few photographs below, if you'd like to see.

[art + retro chairs outside the restaurant]

[checking out the gallery space]

[we ordered a few appetizers, starting with this wood-fired mac & cheese]

[this app, the "urban picnic," has locally cured and house cured meats, artisan cheeses, bacon marmalade and seasonal preserves. i could have eaten the entire thing by myself.]

[i love this picture because brian's face is exactly how i felt about the urban picnic too. lol]

[these two<3]

[so happy to have mary back in central pa!]

[loved this progression]

[for dinner, we opted to split the grilled pear, ham & arugula pizza, the white pizza and the north mountain pastures sausage pizza. all were delicious, but the pear really stole the show.]

[and this, just because it pretty much sums up how great this night was.]

Thanks to The Millworks & our best friends for a great night out! If you're looking for a place to take shelter on this very rainy weekend, this is the place to go. Thanks for reading this week and try to stay dry! xoCarrie
