Theme Week: Giving Thanks

Good morning!  I am happy to be back to my regular blogging schedule and want to say thanks to Carrie for filling in for me last week.  We are slowing getting settled in to our new apartment.  I’ll give you more of an update on our place and our new town next week.
This year, as we approach Thanksgiving, I am feeling thankful for so many things.  I feel like I have been in a little funk lately – feeling sorry for myself because of all the things we have dealt with over the past several months – when really, I should have been feeling blessed because things could be much worse.
I am especially thankful for my sweet little Sommer.  Last year at this time we had about a month to wait until her due date and I was anxious and couldn’t wait to meet her.  She has been such a joy and blessing to Matt and I and to so many people around us and we just love her to pieces.  I love watching her grow each day and am so thankful that she is happy and healthy.

I am also especially thankful for Matt.  He takes care of Sommer and I in so many ways – he works hard every day so that I can stay home with my girl, he is helpful around the house and makes sure that we have everything we need.  He even lived 2 hours away from us for work for 2 months so that we could make a better life for our little family.  And now, he is trying so hard to make our new town and our new apartment a great home for us – just what I need when it’s hard for me to be here.
I am also so thankful for my family; my parents and sisters who have always been so supportive and helpful.  I love them so much!
I hope that this week you will count your blessings and remember all that you have to be thankful for!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
