Tröegs Brewing Company

Last weekend Scott and I made the short trek down to Hershey, PA to visit the new Tröegs Brewery. I’ll be honest and just tell you that I love this place. I am not a huge drinker of beer, but the atmosphere, the food, the setting – it is all just perfect.
We decided to split the beer sampler because it allows you to try everything (and for only $7!). The sampler includes JavaHead Stout, Pale Ale, HopBack Amber, Troegenator, DreamWeaver and Perpetual IPA.
The JavaHead Stout, which tasted slightly of coffee, was my favorite!

One of the neatest things about the brewery is their Snack Bar. This is very unlike your normal, everyday snack bar where you can buy things like chicken strips with fries, ice cream and airheads. No, here you can sample delicious things like popcorn tossed with rosemary brown butter and sea salt, charcuterie and seared ahi tuna tacos with chili crème fraiche. It is safe to say that we went a little crazy here…
{Black Bean Tacos}

{Deviled Eggs}
I am a pretty big fan of the classic deviled egg but this version, with bacon, mustard seed and apple, was pretty amazing.
{Arugula Salad w/Watermelon and Goat Cheese}

{Salmon Skewer}
{Brisket Sandwich w/Bubba Sauce}

The building itself has a very industrial feel with high ceilings, hanging metal lights and an enormous overhead fan. There are some small tables for individual parties, but also one very long table which encourages people to just sort of sit together! I like it!

{Some unique artwork}

We had a great time and are looking forward to visiting again soon!

  1. They might want to hire you to be their marketing person. Looks great. We had been to the old location. Gotta love the sampler. It's Brett's fav beer!
