Friday Favorites

Today, I'm sharing a few of my favorite things from this past week...

Wardrobe 101 - I have followed Lindsey's blog for a long time now and love her take on style and simplicity.  This Wardrobe 101 series is so great and I have enjoyed taking a look my closet through the homework she gives each week.  Start the series here!

The perfect read after I ran a half marathon totally unprepared.  Not sure exactly what I was thinking when I decided that running 13.1 miles without training would be ok (just no.) but I did make it even if I walked about half and even though my legs felt so heavy that I didn't think I could continue picking them up for the last mile. Insert face-palm emoji here.

Watching my two babes run around and play together will forever be one of my favorite things.  It can be hit or miss because of their age difference but lately they have been having so much fun together and hearing their giggles is one of the best things in the world.  Last weekend we took them to Grim's Orchard to pick apples and they loved riding the cow train together.

Sweater Weather!  Yesterday was the perfect fall weather and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is here to stay.  My love for cardigans is real and this olive option from J. Crew Factory is on my short list of fall necessities.

Chelsey so generously sent me this new cookbook earlier this week after I asked if she or Carrie had read it.  I have been in a dinner rut lately especially since we need several nights of quick and easy to put together meals.  That plus picky eaters has made me feel like I'm constantly coming up dry.  I love Jenny Rosenstrach and already know that this book is going to be a game changer.

This little reminder for my Sommergirl while she is away at school - our matching hearts tell us that we are together in our hearts even when we are physically away from each other. This simple little heart has improved our days immensely
.

Have a great weekend!
