on the tube

I'm looking for a little advice today.  We recently kissed cable goodbye in favor of Netflix and reruns on the internet.  Although I am not a huge TV watcher, I do enjoy catching a show or two throughout the week or on the weekends.  


At the moment, you would likely find me watching Gilmore Girls which I started a few weeks ago and can't seem to get enough of.  Always with a warm cup of tea and my favorite blanket. 

 I am also currently mourning the end of Parenthood - possibly my all time favorite show and the only show Matt and I have consistently watched together.  I would love to hear your thoughts on the end of Parenthood if you watched it.  :o)  I cried lots of tears but basically loved every second of the finale and I can't wait to watch it again because I'm sure there are little pieces that I missed the first time around!

PS It's really weird watching Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore and Sarah Braverman in the same week.

Anyway, the point of this is to ask you for some input on great shows to check out!  I don't like crime scene investigation type stuff or really anything that might scare me into thinking it could happen to me.  I'm looking for something my hubs will enjoy with me when we sit down together to watch our one show on Friday nights.  (I'll save Gilmore Girls for my own viewing pleasure. :o)) What's your favorite?!

    1. I adore GG! Guess what? I'll tell you a secret...Behn loves if too! Haha!
    2. Parenthood ending was so sad- loved it! (Behn too,). Thought the finale was great, and especially loved how they peeked into the future at the end. Was so sweet!
    3. Have you watched Friday Night Lights (the tv series is on Netflix). It's written by the same guy that wrote Parenthood and it has a lot of the sane actors. It's super afflicting and I don't even care about football. Hope you find something great to watch!

    Megan, Thank you for the suggestion of Friday Night Lights! I have actually had a couple people suggest that one to me so that might have to be Matt and my new show! I love that Behn loves GG and Parenthood! I can't get Matt into GG, sadly. I'm also glad you loved the finale. I also loved the peek into the future. I love being able to imagine them all happy after the ending of the show. :o) Wish we could chat about these things over coffee but I do appreciate you sharing your thoughts here!
